Host an Event

Many local groups, such as churches, schools and community organizations host events to raise money for Family Hospice.

David's Music House in McMurray, PA hosted an evening of music and camaraderie in honor of their friend and fellow musician.  And, Matt Atwell hosted a golf outing at the Tam O'Shanter Golf Course in Hermitage, PA for his step-father.  Proceeds benefited Family Hospice, which had the privilege of being involved in their loved ones' care.

There are many fun and creative ways for you or your organization to raise money. Possibilities include:

  • Wine tastings
  • Dinner parties
  • Progressive dinners
  • Cookouts
  • Golf tournaments
  • A run or walk
  • Bike run
  • Bake sales
  • Dessert parties
  • Casual day at your workplace

Thank You Matt Atwell and Family!

On Sept. 2, 2017 Matt Atwell hosted the 3rd Annual Jerry Chiccarino Memorial Golf Scramble at Tam O'Shanter Golf Course in Hermitage, PA.  The event, in honor his step-father, raised $2,000 for Family Hospice.  All monies will benefit Family Hospice patients and famlies.  Thanks Matt!

Thank You Thomas Farrington!

On May 1, 2016, Thomas Farrington ran the Pittsburgh Marathon to raise money for Family Hospice in honor of his late father, Tom "Burhead" Farrington.  He pledged to finish for his Dad and all the other people out there battling cancer.  His dad always helped others fighting cancer by selling raffle tickets or holding 50/50 raffles and he wanted to continue his vision and carry on his spirit.

Family Hospice treated my dad with amazing care and respect during his final days and they continue to offer support to our family today.  The money we raised will help the cancer patients and their families through these most difficult times. - Thomas Farrington

Thanks to those who supported Thomas by making a donation or being a source of emotional support in his huge accomplishment!
