  • Family Hospice's Inpatient Center in Mt. Lebanon, headquarters of Family Hospice and Palliative Care, is located at 50 Moffett Street, six miles from downtown Pittsburgh. To speak with someone about inpatient hospice care or any of our programs and services, please call 1-800-513-2148.
  • The Center's Inpatient Unit provides round-the-clock expert treatment of symptoms that cannot be managed successfully at home. The stay is generally short-term, depending on the time it takes to achieve comfort.
  • Twelve private patient rooms are named for trees to reflect a setting inspired by nature.
  • All rooms are decorated to create a home-like environment. Each patient room has a flat-screen television and private restroom.
  • Several communal spaces throughout The Center allow patients and their guests to relax in comfort. The Library is equipped with a television and a computer.
  • The Meditation Room is a space for reflection and gathering.
  • The Meditation Garden, accessible from the Inpatient Unit, includes umbrella tables with seating and a soothing fountain centerpiece.
  • The grounds feature vibrant blooms and seasonal plantings.
  • The Inpatient Unit porch is a popular space for patients and families.
  • The Serenity Path and Statuary Garden invite guests to enjoy the beauty of the seasons.
  • The Overnight Room can be rented for guests who need to remain close.
  • The Grab-n-Go Café is open for visitors weekdays Noon to 2 p.m.
  • Fresh patient meals are prepared on site.
  • The Center is home to Camp Healing Hearts, an annual day camp for grieving children.
  • The Center includes space for educational outreach with state-of-the-art audio-visual capabilities.
